Close to the border, but there's an army in the way and a storm is rising.

Red Scorpion base has dispatched hundreds of troops and helicopters to try to prevent you crossing the border. The ravine ahead marks the border and the small bridge is the only route across it. Though Guillemette helped you before, she is your enemy now and will pursue you. Janine says that truthfully, the best chance of survival is to surrender. Your blood contains the panacea and you might be able to barter humane treatment. But if you escape you could help millions of people. The wind is rising and there seems to be the start of a dust storm that you may be able to use as cover between two checkpoints. Move!

The torchlight ahead marks the checkpoint. Janine tells you to get behind the soldiers while she gets their attention, then attack on her signal. Janine impersonates one of the Death's Hand assassins, claiming that their supposed deaths were a cover so they could work covertly. She tricks them for long enough for you to help take them down, then you change into their gear. The storm should slow the soldiers down when they regain consciousness and try to report. Janine has a plan to use that to your advantage, but you'll need to be fast.

There's another checkpoint ahead with searchlights that can penetrate the dust. Your stolen gear won't get you through questioning. The soldiers get the communications on and you can hear Guillemette giving orders. Red Scorpion don't seem to know that you're there. Janine radios in pretending to be the soldier from the checkpoint claiming two people attacked the checkpoint and took a hostage. It works! A large group of soldiers and jeeps move towards the checkpoint you've just left. You should be able to slip past now.

Janine tells you that she had run disruption operations like this pre-apocalypse, and that being here has reminded her that they have a duty to help the entire world, not just Abel. The UK caused the apocalypse and to remedy that, they need to work with others. The panacea is an important part of that. You overhear a message from a soldier that confirms that they think the attacked soldiers are you. You hear a zombie scream, gunfire, and a radio message that the sandstorm has uncovered zombies. The zombies will have disrupted the army so it's your best chance to make it through the cordon.

You hear artillery fire and Janine thinks they must have found a cluster of zombies. You are probably through the cordons and the bridge lies ahead, but it's impossible to tell in the murk of the sandstorm. You overhear a radio message from Guillemette saying that they've figured out your ruse and they're pointing their sensors behind the cordon. They've spotted you and they have reserves. They then change radio frequency. It sounds like they have more supersoldiers too, and these ones won't be malfunctioning. Speed up!

The soldiers are catching up too quickly and they'll catch you before you get across the bridge. Janine says she'll buy you time by drawing them off while you head to the crossing. She gives you the USB and tells you to get the data out. RUN!

Guillemette contacts you directly through the radio and lets you hear one of the supersoldiers say that Janine has been neutralised. She tells you that her boss is listening in and tells all forces to move to intercept. The army is closing in.
