Trickery and Subterfuge

Loki has cast an illusion to make you look like Jotun so you can sneak into Utgard and the palace. He believes the Jotun are using a powerful artifact to warp the ley lines – you will surely find it there.

Thor worries that if you are discovered, it will start another war with the Jotun. You are approaching the gates so try to blend in.

You manage to sneak past the guards, but the crowd is leaving you behind. You need to run to keep up!

Loki spots a small group of servants from the palace up ahead. Perhaps you could take their places.

You've reached the market, so try to look as though you're inspecting goods. Walk for 30 seconds, run for a minute, then do heel lifts.

You overhear the servants talking.

The birds on the stall have blue and white feathers.

You say farewell to the birds.

The servants are moving on.

The servants complain about a new worker.

They might be getting suspicious.

You let the servants gain some distance.

Thor wants to observe the Jotun seasoning a dire yak.

Loki has lost them in the crowd!

You've found them. Pretend to be very interested in the stall.

Keep up with their lead.

Thor catches up with you.

Thor offers you some delicious yak.

The servants are still shopping.

The servants have found what they were looking for.

You need to run to follow them, but mind your illusion. Hopefully they will guide you back to the palace.

Utgard reminds Thor of the City of the Great Light and older cities in Midgard because it is very unorganized. While they talk, the servants have vanished, but thankfully you saw which way they went.

They aren't heading to the palace yet. Circle round the street – loitering would be suspicious.

You find the servants again, finally heading towards the palace. Loki says that you need to take their places to get inside.

Loki casts a spell to make the servants sleep. Start stretching to let Loki calibrate his next illusion.

Thor has hidden the servants and retrieved their packages. Loki has decided that Thor will be disguised as a faithful bilgesnipe!

You need to move quickly before the sleeping spell wears off. You should find the servant's entrance nearby.

You enter the palace and head to the kitchen where you hear an argument about a meal being thrown out by order of the king.

Loki intends to break into the King's chambers. You should be able to pretend you're there to clean.

You enter the King's chambers and find that the wards have stripped away your illusion in front of the guard. You need to find a way out! Run the perimeter of the room to reveal any more wards.

You're rescued by Hrönn who takes you into a secret passage. You need to be quiet or you'll be found.
