The Tower of Great Light

You're on the way to one of the Vanir's spell forges to craft a spell to track ley lines. The Great Light of the city goes out suddenly! Idunn says they have already lost people, and gives you the key to the Great Light's tower to find out what has happened.

You reach the tower and narrowly avoid traps to ascend it. Loki notices strands around the Great Light which are swallowing its light. The spell can only be broken at its point of origin so you need to escape the tower.

Thor flies you out of the window but you can hear Shadow Nixes, and the sound of the city under attack. The Shadow Nixes pursue you, but are held off by Thor.

Idunn speaks to you through an owl messenger. The Shadow Nixes are attacking and they cannot hold out for long. Loki gives you his pendulum and tells you to follow your instincts while he and Thor take care of your pursuers.

You find a glowing blue crystal – obviously the focus of the spell. You and Thor draw the monsters away so Loki can work his magic. Indunn tells you the city walls have been breached, and Thor uses his lightning to draw the attention of the Shadow Nixes.

Loki needs more time! Thor fights off the Shadow Nixes and then destroys the crystal with Mjolnir. The Great Light is restored! You acquitted yourself like a warrior. Return to the city now that things are safe.
