Captain Of A Shipwreck

You, Sam, Janine and Chief Macallan are on a boat to get a cure from Frances for Janine. She says that for once, she will not make a speech about how she's unimportant, as they already have too few friends on the island and every person counts in the bid to stop Shona. Macallan says no one has heard from the Laird since he failed to shoot Shona, and notices a storm brewing in the distance. Your boat passes the same shipwrecks you saw when you first visited Dearg, but now people are looting them for weapons. Amelia and Janine have a plan to use nuclear weapons if the King of the Rocks ceremony takes place, to prevent the Red Fungus spreading beyond the Far Hebrides.

You collect the cure, and discover it is twofold: one, a vial with more nanites to help repair the terminal damage done to Janine, and a new control box. You receive a walkie talkie message from the Laird, asking for help as he's on a shipwrecked yacht after having tried to save Shona. But he's cut off by angry shouts as the skincoats try to catch him. You cut across the shoals to intercept.

You all manage to get to the Laird, but must keep moving to ensure the skincoats can't catch you. The Laird confirms they can talk without speaking, but says they have spoken about the King of the Rocks ceremony to him. He's determined to stop it too. All of the skincoats are here, and Chief leads you a secret way to avoid endangering the locals on the other shipwrecks.

You get to the rocky outcrop you were aiming for, but Shona appears. Chief reveals that he was a skincoat all along, and Shona says she won't let you go easily now. But the Laird agrees to go with his daughter, telling Janine to let him go in a very pointed manner. Janine says that if Shona tries anything, she'll shoot, and you all run back to the village.

While you run, Janine explains she only left the Laird because it's what he wanted, and she shows Sam that the Laird is still using his walkie-talkie. Over it, you hear Duncan use a crop sprayer to spray all the people on the shipwrecked boats with fungus accelerant. They all turn into V-Types, and Shona reveals she knows you all are listening. She commands the V-Types to turn and run after you.

The V-Types come out of the water in front of you before you're able to get off the boat. Janine smashes her vial of cure, knowing the V-Types hate the silver metal, and uses that fact to create an escape route for you all. She commands both of you to come with her, as you need to get back to Mor Island.

Sam gets the boat to start. Shortly afterwards, Shona is back on the walkie-talkie, making you listen as she pours a goblet of fungal accelerant into the Laird's mouth. But it seems this was the Laird's plan all along: as he turns, he tells you what the Red God sees, which is that the King of the Rocks ceremony actually stops the Red God, and the skincoats have been trying to stop it, not start it. You must get back to the mainland to ensure the ceremony proceeds properly.
