You jack into netspace ready to take the cure from Thurman Towers. Janine blames Romero for this, though Mo is puzzled that they have not claimed the credit. The contagion is spreading fast and thousands of lives are at risk.

The cyberpark you're running through is going to be deleted to contain the virus, but Nadia says that won't help. There's a line of code missing from the antidote that only Nadia knows which is why Thurman hasn't released it. Amelia wonders why people don't just disable their implants so they can't be infected, but Nadia says it's because they're addicted.

There's a crowd outside Valtech begging for Valmont's help. Better move before things turn ugly.

You're being followed by the digital avatar of one of the zombies. Janine helps you to shoot it down, but the corporate district is being erased too. Run!

There's a large number of zombies heading for the hab-block where you are. Janine says she'll draw the zombies away to buy you time. The virus is spreading in netspace too, so you need to avoid them.

The ground between you and Thurman Towers is dissolving. You won't reach it in time, but maybe Nadia can upload to your implants and you can finish this run in meatspace. But it means Nadia will have to delete some of her memories. You leave Netspace and head up to the roof.

Nadia has retained her memories of Amelia at least, but there's no time to admire the view. Nadia says this is what the Megacorps want in the end – the erasure of all individuality. You hear gunshots which must be Janine. Get moving so you don't waste the time she's buying you.

You see hundreds of dead zombies on the street ahead. Janine can't have killed all of them can she? She contacts you saying she's made it to Thurman Towers. There are more zombies emerging from the buildings to make up for their lost numbers. Get going!

You reunite with Janine and she says she's found help. Amelia recognises them as Luddites working for Romero, and Janine reveals that she is Romero. She says that with the antidote, the megacrops will have to do what you say. You can force them to do better. She says that if Nadia had given her the code in the first place, she wouldn't have needed to release the virus. The malware wasn't supposed to kill her! She dashes off, running towards Thurman Towers. Catch her!

Janine says she'll take the antidote and erase the original – surely she'll figure out the missing code eventually. Amelia attacks her, and Janine's gun goes off, injuring Amelia. Five you need to keep going.

Janine says that Net City has never helped her, and Five should be on her side. There's no talking sense into her.

You've reached the vault. Janine says that Mo raised her to fight for what she believes in, and Net City can't be fixed, only destroyed and made anew. She throws herself out of the window, but she's survived and is running. You upload Nadia's file to the terminal and she broadcasts the cure. People are turning back! Nadia will leave your implants before you're harmed. You've survived, but at what cost?
