Pendragon begins to tell you the story of the Princess and Tower. You follow the words through the castle, cutting through vines and rot with Excalibur until you reach the entrance to the tower.

You climb the tower as Pendragon narrates. Dr. Strange is here somewhere; you can hear him as he searches the castle library searching for the right book, but his voice becomes distant as you continue the climb, and the sound of the rain becomes louder. Is the princess alive?

The Princess

Itsy Bitsy Spider

Dr. Strange warns you that Pendragon is trying to tire you out so you can't resist. He starts to read a spell, but Pendragon's words drive you onwards. The princess is dead, but there is a golden spinning wheel in the room; your reward. You reach out towards it, as Dr. Strange tells you to stop and calls for his ally.

Interference

Another voice begins to tell a story about a girl trapped in a tower with a spinning wheel, and the story seems to draw Pendragon in. It lets you load the spinning wheel with vines, but then asks for payment. Pendragon breaks free, and the vines attack you!

The rain threatens to wash you away. You plunge Excalibur into a stone and cling to it until the water is gone. Wanda tells you to get rid of the vines. You start to spin the vines into a rope and use it to climb out of the window and down the tower.

The tower is collapsing. As you climb down, you're attacked by ravens, and then the world turns upside down. Wanda stops you from falling, and you manage to give Dr. Strange the sword. He introduces Wanda, the Scarlet Witch, but before he can explain, a huge dragon appears.

You arrive on the shore of the UK to assess the situation for Amelia. You have ANNIE's mobile unit and hopefully you will find a compatible mainframe for her soon. Home awaits.

Janine has not heard from Abel, but you are met by Jody. She points out Valmont blimps moving materials into the country to fortify places, and a weird thing he's building north of Abel.

You hide from a blimp and Jody explains the Valmont murals , and the statues – people were sick, what choice did they have? Jody said they heard the plague was made by Valmont, but that announcement came from Amelia and who trusts her? You spot some of the labourers, infected by the virus, and hide from them.

There are searchlights ahead and you run to evade them. The woods ahead should help you lose them.

You reach Abel and Janine notices a few changes to the grounds. You're welcomed in and Jody orders the gates shut because of zoms, but there were none chasing you. Janine orders you back under the gate and Jody tells people to get after you or Valmont will be upset.

Janine had hoped she was wrong, but she had noticed the razed orchard with V-shaped landing marks in the area. She doesn't know what has happened to the people of Abel, but you need a plan. There's a blockade ahead, but you're given unexpected backup in the form of King Jamie and his roller derby guard, now using motorised chariots. You can catch up when you're safe.

Jamie explains the situation. Valmont swooped in when the plague hit and took over. There are two cures he offered – one which turns people into worker zombies, the other makes people become desperate to please Valmont. Jody is a wily opponent, trained by Janine herself, so you need to do things Jamie's way.

Jamie's boat has been destroyed. Janine tells him to leave with his people – that he received their message at all means the trap was for him as well as Janine and Five. Valmont having Jamie under his control would be a propaganda coup. Jody speaks over a megaphone. She calls you deserters and will hunt you down.

Returned to Abel but our welcome wasn't as warm as we'd hoped!

With the UK under Valmont's control, a grand return is off the cards. Luckily you've still got Abel Township to fall back on.

Hrönn says that what you seek is not in the palace. She's going to get you out of the city but you need to be quiet. Hrönn says that you being found would start a war and destroy all the progress that she and her people have made.

Loki disguises you again. You have to move quickly to keep up with Hrönn. Act as if you are in close attendance to her.

The guards have stopped looking for you within the palace and have alerted the city guard. Hrönn tells the guards that you are on important business for her. You're nearly at the gates so keep up.

Loki reluctantly explains about the ley lines. Hrönn reveals that her father was Gymir the Engulfer, a powerful Jotun shaman who shared Laufey's vision of ruling the realms. King Imr has been having secret meetings with someone promising power. Hrönn wants to give her people a better future, and stop whoever in influencing the king. You're looking for something at the Well of Crimson Waters.

Loki creates a portal and admits a grudging respect for Hrönn. You arrive at a huge lake made of blood. Thor says it is filled with the blood of every Asgardian who has ever died in Jotunheim. Your disguises won't work here but you scramble up onto a ridge and the noise draws the guards away so you can sneak through.

Loki has found some wards and you need to keep moving so they don't activate. Loki draws an artifact from the well: a spindle, the source of your problems. You need to destroy it, but you'll need power to do that. Loki opens another portal for you to escape.

Found the source of the shifting ley lines but we still need to destroy it!

The situation in Jotunheim may be more precarious than you knew – an ally brings news of a corrupted king, and old enmities being fuelled anew.

The Shaman's Daughter

Valmont monologues about trapping you and Sam, and says that the cure on the island isn't even the final version. He gets distracted when an antipersonnel turret lowers. A printer behind you prints the words 'Weakling, get down'. Duck! The turret fires at Valmont and Slava, and breaks a window. You can escape through it but you're high up. ANNIE must have done it. The paper she printed says it's her last second of charge. Run down the fire escape!

Soldiers pursue you with orders to kill, but some crates fall on them. Someone calls out to you – it's Janine! Your window to escape is narrowing. Get moving!

Sam is delighted to see Janine, and she even permits a hug. She says the plague has already struck the UK, and Amelia and Janine's people have fallen back to Alderney. You approach the town, but Valmont is dropping fungal accelerant, and it quickly turns everyone into zombies which try to grab you. you meet up with Paula who promises that Sara is safe. The island's children aren't infected and you load them onto a milk float. Get moving, because the zombies are after you!

The float is out of battery, and even though you're near the speedboat you can use to escape, the children will never make it down the cliff and the zoms are nearly on you. Amelia interrupts, using artillery to shoot at the zoms. You'll still need to distract the rest of the zoms while the kids get to the boat. Amelia warns you that she won't let those zoms off the island, even if she has to flatten you. Paula takes the children, and then rest of you go to lure the zoms away.

You reach the boat but Valmont is waiting for you along with Slava. Surrender or she'll start shooting. And Amelia is nearby to watch the fireworks. Her ship begins firing in one minute, no matter what. Valmont mocks you with his control of the UK, but slinks off. And the zombies are cresting the hill. Get after Amelia because the ship will fire soon.

You reach Amelia's boat as the ship begins shelling the beach. Amelia is annoyed that Janine didn't believe her about Valmont being dangerous for years. His jet drops bombs to destroy the factory. Amelia has sent Veronica to Europe with Ranger Five so you have no way to make a real cure – of course people will take Valmont's. Sam thinks ANNIE might help, since she cured Venice, but if she needs fixing, you'll have to go to the UK.

Reunited with Janine, Paula, and Amelia to escape the Channel Islands, but the UK is already in dire straits!

Caught between a rock and a hard place, it's difficult to know who to turn to. Does Valmont really hold all the cards?

Your tracking app tells you that your wallet has been stolen. Captain America is nearby, with many people reporting their possessions have also been stolen. He asks you to guide him to where the thief went using the app.

Captain America confronts the thief and asks you to prevent them jumping the fence. The thief is a kid named Max, who explains that he's taken the place of his little brother in a pickpocketing ring to help him. Captain America promises to stop the person in charge of the ring, who is targeting the Thanksgiving parade.

You reach the parade and chase the thief, who Captain America recognises as Batroc the Leaper who he's tangled with before. Captain America asks you to grab the dropped wallets while he pursues.

Captain America chases Batroc onto a giant balloon of Jeff the Landshark. Batroc pierces the balloon to release the air but Captain America uses his shield as a plug. He tells you to release the hundreds of balloons on the Santa float on his signal. He uses them as a distraction to take out Batroc.

Captain America thanks you for your help with Batroc and finding green beans. He's taking them to Thanksgiving at Restwell to spend it with other veterans. Have a good trip home!

Loki casts an illusion to make you look like Jotun so you can sneak into Utgard and the palace. He believes the Jotun are using a powerful artifact to warp the ley lines – you will surely find it there. Thor worries that if you are discovered, it will start another war with the Jotun. You are approaching the gates so try to blend in.

Loki leads you to the King's chambers and tells the guard you're there to clean, but when you enter, the wards strip away your illusion. You bar the door and search for a way out. You're rescued by Hrönn who takes you into a secret passage. You need to be quiet or you'll be found.

Managed to enter the Jotun palace but our presence has been discovered!

Entering the palace of the Jotun is no easy feat. Luckily you have a trickster god with you determined to do just that.

Trickery and Subterfuge

Emma Frost welcomes you to the X-Corp HQ to get you an X-Men uniform. Jumbo Carnation explains that some abilities interact with the smart-fabrics used, and Emma gives a demonstration. Jumbo has you run in place and imagine a costume that will make you feel confident, and Emma transfers the image from your mind to the machine. You look stunning! Go test it out.

You encounter Mr. Sinister who says he is here to make you an offer. He realises you're part of the X-Men and says you could be a god instead. You're interrupted by Cyclops contacting you on the radio. Mr. Sinister leaves, and Cyclops wants to speak to you about a solo mission.

Jean says you're wise not to trust Mr. Sinister; he's only concerned about himself. Jean and Scott tell you that they've detected an alert near the abandoned Xavier school in Westchester. The intruders appear to be two mutant siblings who escaped their community. They want you to find the children and bring them to Krakoa if they're willing.

You arrive at the school and Jean reminisces about her time there. Sentinels appear and are focused on you. You need to get indoors!

You need to find those children before Trask does. You intercept a Trask transmission which says they're entering the building to search for you. Scott and Jean are scrambling reinforcements. In the meantime, stay hidden.
